Why use a professional?
- ●Stone selected for purpose — calibrated thickness, riven or honed finish, colour-matched batch
- ●Full mortar-bed installation on Type 1 sub-base, not laid loose on sand
- ●Proprietary stone-friendly jointing — no kiln-dried sand failing in the first frost
- ●Breathable penetrating sealer optional, never a film-forming product that traps moisture
Our approach
- ●Sub-base 150mm Type 1 minimum, compacted in 75mm layers to 95% MCV
- ●Mortar bed 35-50mm depth on driveways, 25-35mm on patios, fully wetted
- ●Jointing with polymer-modified mortar at 6-15mm width per stone type
All patio installation projects in Devonport are carried out by qualified specialists familiar with natural-stone substructure, jointing and sealing — with full public liability cover and a written workmanship guarantee.
